Tile & Filter Deep Cleaning
Calcium off your waterline tile and peak flow back through your filter—twice-a-year maintenance most pools quietly need.
Tile line cleaning
Tampa’s hard water leaves a stubborn white calcium scale along the waterline. Over a year or two it builds up enough to dull the look of the whole pool—and ordinary brushing won’t touch it.
We remove calcium with bead-blasting (the gentle method—safe on stone, glass, and porcelain tile) or professional-grade calcium releaser for lighter deposits. Your waterline comes back bright, sharp, and photo-ready.
Pricing: From $395 for an average pool. Custom quote for travertine, glass mosaic, or heavily-scaled waterlines.
Filter deep cleaning
Your filter is the lungs of your pool. Even with weekly backwashing, cartridges, DE grids, and sand beds need a periodic deep clean to restore proper flow and pressure.
Cartridge filters
- Remove and inspect all cartridges
- Soak in professional filter cleaner (breaks down body oils and sunscreen)
- Rinse to manufacturer spec
- Inspect for tears, end-cap separation, and wear
- Replacement recommendations if needed
DE (diatomaceous earth) filters
- Break down, inspect, and clean every grid
- Replace tears with OEM grids
- Reassemble and recharge with fresh DE
Sand filters
- Multiport valve rebuild
- Full sand change-out (sand is consumable—most pools need it every 5 years)
- Lateral inspection
Pricing: Cartridge deep-clean from $129. DE filter service from $179. Sand change-outs from $349 (includes media).
How often
For Tampa pools we recommend:
- Tile line cleaning — once every 12–18 months
- Cartridge / DE filter deep-clean — every 6 months
- Sand change-out — every 5 years
Concierge plan customers get quarterly tile-line maintenance included so calcium never has a chance to build up.
